OPERATIONAL USE OF ELECTRONIC CHART DISPLAY AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS (ECDIS)

Duration: 5 Days (40 hours)

This course intends to provide the knowledge, skill and understanding of ECDIS and electronic charts to the thorough extent needed to safely navigate vessels whose primary means of navigation is ECDIS. The course emphasizes both the application and learning of ECDIS in a variety of underway contexts.

GMDSS-GOC (IMO MODEL COURSE 1.25)

Duration: 14 Days (108 hours)

This course is designed for Deck Officers with responsibility for both Distress and Commercial Radio Communications onboard ships. It conforms to the requirements specified in Regulation IV of the International Convention of Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers 1978 (STCW), as amended, and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Radio regulations Article 55 for General Operator Certificate.

RADAR NAVIGATION-OPERATIONAL LEVEL (RNOL)

Duration: 10 Days (79 hours)

A Certificate of Completion is given to each candidate who satisfactorily fulfills the Course.

RADAR NAVIGATION-MANAGEMENT LEVEL (RNML)

Duration: 5 Days (38 hours)

A Certificate of Completion is given to each candidate who satisfactorily fulfills the Course.

SHIP HANDLING SIMULATOR & BRIDGE TEAM WORK (SHS)

Duration: 5 Days (40 hours)

This course is based on IMO Model Course 1.22. It essentially deals with the principles and practices of passage planning, keeping safe navigational watch, use of bridge resources, and team management and consists of various practical exercises with the use of full mission bridge simulator.

ENGINE ROOM SIMULATOR (ERS)

Duration: 5 Days (40 hours)

The course is a practical one, consisting of series of exercise structured around operation of ships machinery installation and carried out in conjunction with E/R simulator

JRC SIMULATOR B-TYPE (MODEL – JAN 901B/JAN 701B)

Duration: 2 Days (10.5 hours)

The JRC Type Specific ECDIS training provides officers with the knowledge required to use this ECDIS for watchkeeping in accordance with the regulation.

JRC SIMULATOR MFD TYPE (JAN 9201/ JAN 7201/ JAN 9201S/ JAN 7201S)

Duration: 2 Days (12.5 hours)

The JRC Type Specific ECDIS training provides officers with the knowledge required to use this ECDIS for watchkeeping in accordance with the regulation.
