This five days’ course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of bridge safe watchkeeping principles, passage planning and bridge team organization & management. The course is designed in line with the guideline of IMO Model Course 1.22.
The training is conducted using Full Mission Bridge simulator TRANSAS (Currently Wartsila) NTPRO 5000. The navigation bridge consists of navigation console, various navigational aids console, two independent radar sets and two independent ECDIS sets. The 230° horizon is covered by seven LED TVs. The separate monitoring and control room consists of server, Instructor command panel and seven display monitors clone to the navigation bridge monitors. To monitor and review the full activities of the candidates during exercise the entire bridge is covered by audio and video surveillance.
Candidates can undertake training in one or more ship’s models from common seven categories of ships. The exercises can be demonstrated in any chosen areas from thirteen common trading sea areas.
