Course Title: ENGINE ROOM SIMULATOR

Duration: 80 hours

The course is a practical one, consisting of series of exercise structured around operation of ships machinery installation and carried out in conjunction with E/R simulator

COURSE AIMS & OBJECTIVES:

To provide knowledge and skills to operate supervise and monitor safe operation and control of engine room machinery installation. On completion of this Course, Students will be:

Familiar with the use of instrument & control
  • Aware of need for proper pre-planning, use of checklist is start up operation
  • Undertaking and aware of correct watch keeping procedure
  • Experiencing operational problem and trouble shooting
  • Making decision

ENTRY REQUIREMENT / TARGET GROUP:

This course is intended for engineer officer with watch keeping experience at sea (at operational level) aspiring to enhance knowledge of operation and control by various structured activities in Simulated Condition.

COURSE CERTIFICATE:

A certificate of course completion shall be issued to those who shall satisfactorily fulfill the course requirements. Certificate of Proficiency is issued by the Department of Shipping on completion of an oral test.
