Course Title: COMPANY SECURITY OFFICER

Duration: 2 Days

This course is designed for shore-based personnel who will be assigned as Company Security Officer. The emphasis of instruction and training deals with the knowledge and understanding of duties and responsibilities in ensuring, implementing and maintaining security for one or more ships of the company depending on the number or types of ships they operate.

COURSE AIMS & OBJECTIVES:

This course aims to provide more precise guidelines on the interpretation of the ISPS Code that would identify level of threats to the vessel using appropriate security assessments, and mechanics of conducting ship security assessment, as well as development and implementation of ship security plan.

In addition, it explains how to arrange for internal audits and the reviews of security and ensuring that deficiencies and non-conformities will be identified and rectified in compliance with the Administration or the recognized security organization.

The course is open to all Ship managers, ship superintendents, ex-military officers, and management level deck or engine officers.
